WE SERVE
Our Community
Around the World
We have several activities which are designed to help those of our community with  Emergency Food Assistance from our Pantry and Forgotten Harvest.

We offer "Movie in the Park" as a family event as well as other age designed activities, such as  B.L.A.S.T.,  open gym basketball, Teen game night, October Fun Fair, all of which are open to the community.
We are a global denomination.  The sun never sets on the Church of the Nazarene.  There are approximately 30,000 churches and about 2.5 million members worldwide in the Church of the Nazarene.  There are about 650,000 members in the US/Canada, indicating our global outreach.
Forgotten Harvest is dedicated to relieving hunger in Metro Detroit.  They “rescued” 40.9 million pounds of food last year by collecting surplus prepared and perishable food from 800 sources, including grocery stores, fruit and vegetable markets, restaurants, caterers, dairies, farmers, wholesale food distributors and other Health Department-approved sources.  This donated food, which would otherwise go to waste, is delivered free-of-charge to 280 emergency food providers in the Metro Detroit area.

We serve as one of the community distribution points.  We have food distribution on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday's each month.  You must pre-register by calling 586-778-5010.
We have an EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PANTRY where people needing a few days supply to get them to the next pay day can come and receive a couple bags of food staples appropriated by the size of the family.

People who need to take advantage of this assistance may call the office for an appointment.  This is available by appointment only, and only once a month.
We participate in a Work & Witness ministry.  We are committed to encourage people to use their gifts and talents as a practical expression of the Love of God.  Our goal is to sponsor and participate in both domestic and internation trips in order to move us beyond our comfort zone to provide opportunites for the Spirt of God to shape us into the people that God would have us be.
NMI (Nazarene Missions International) is a branch of the general Church of the Nazarene.  Our local missionary emphases encompass four primary areas: Praying, Discipling, Giving, and Educating.  School Pal Pacs and Crisis Care Kits are gathered and assembled to provide to world areas where a natural disaster has occurred.  Mission education involves monthly mission lessons for children and bi-monthly mission lessons for adults.  Giving opportunties are provided for World Mission Broadcast Offering, Medical Offering, Nazarene Theological Seminary offering, among others.  Prayer requests for missionaries and their needs worldwide are shared and prayed for.  An annual Thanksgiving Harvest Dinner allows for opportunity to share in fellowship and express our thanks for God's many blessings.
